God’s plan

God is the Master Planner! He has a unique plan for your life.

Have you ever wondered if there is such a thing as Christian planning? I know, it probably sounds very strange what I’m saying now. But did you know that God is a planner?

I have discovered some nice scriptures that I would like to share with you to show that the whole concept of planning your goals, vision and dreams is something that God Himself designed.

In addition, it is also that He has made an exclusively personally made plan for you. Something so unique to you. This gives a completely different perspective on making your own plan for the new year.

When I read the Bible, I like to read it in English. And then also in various translations. But what helps me a lot in researching God’s word, the bible is the online Blue letter bible. The reason for this is that it can show you per sentence or word what synonyms are used for it from Hebrew. The original language of the Bible. This gives me more insight into what God means. I will write more about researching God’s word in the future. But I would like to go with you to the topic: the plan & the plans.

So below I have 3 scriptures that I want to quote. Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 21: 5 and Proverbs 16: 3. And with the translation of the blueletter bible I will go a little deeper into the meaning.

God’s plan for your life

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

The word machashabah is used in Hebrew for the word “plan”. And when you research this further, the synonyms for this include:

Thoughts – Purpose – Plans

So when you read it this way: For I know what my thoughts, goals, plans are for you, says the Lord. I have beautiful thoughts, goals, plans. Thoughts, goals, plans full of peace, not full of misery. Because I have a hopeful future ahead of you.

Then you see that God has very good intentions for our lives. This text reflects His thoughts about us and our future. And they are prosperous and hopeful!

The benefits of good planning

Proverbs 21:5 NLT Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity,
but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

The word planning here is also machashabah.

Only this text is about us who combine good thoughts, goals, plans with diligent work. And the result is surplus, says the Dutch translation. But if you look at the translation on synonyms. Then I come to: mowthar.

Abundance – Profit – Prosperity

Involve God in your plans & life

Proverbs 16:3 Commit your actions to the LORD,
and your plans will succeed.

And also in this biblical text the word planning is also machashabah.

But this text speaks about involving God in your thoughts, goals & plans. As a result, they are confirmed by God. What confirmed here means: kuwn

Establish – Provide – Prepare

So now when we read the text again as follows: Commit your actions, works, business on the Lord and your thoughts, goals & plans will be established, provided and prepared.

So in order to live the prosperous life, I want to encourage you to include God in everything you do. This is the foundation of my
